"ROOF25" Project

ROOF25 is a tourist information center and café situated on the rooftop of Berlin ART Hotel Gyumri, made possible by the hotel's partnership with the EU4Business "Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia (ITTD)" project.

Since 2020 and following the pandemic, the region of Shirak has seen a surge in domestic tourism, with many Armenian residents travelling independently to explore different regions of their country. With its multi-layered history and the fascinating Kumayri Museum-Reserve (the historic district), Gyumri is a particularly popular destination.

ROOF25's modern facilities and multilingual staff make it an invaluable resource for anyone looking to quickly find a place of interest or tourist service, relax at the café or work in the coworking area. All information is available in both Armenian and English.

Located in the heart of Gyumri, ROOF25 boasts a minimalist design and sustainable energy practices. It serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the city, thanks to its use of smart technologies. Visitors can take a virtual tour of the city, including its most iconic landmarks, using a 3D scan of the historical center, as well as augmented reality (AR) features available through their smartphones. A mosaic interactive map of Gyumri provides a visual guide to the city's layout and history.

Overall, ROOF25 offers a unique opportunity for visitors to experience Gyumri's history and culture in an innovative, engaging way. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor to the city, you'll find something new and exciting at ROOF25.

The project is part of the EU4Business initiative of the European Union. The EU4Business “Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia (ITTD)’’ project is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by German Development Cooperation (GIZ).

Logo Info

The "ROOF25" logo is the foundation and color palette for the brand's graphic identity, providing guidelines for recognition, distinctiveness, and uniqueness.

The "ROOF25" logo combines the word "ROOF" with the number "25" to represent the space available on the rooftop of building 25.

The logo draws inspiration from rhythmic 1960s-70s poster graphics and classic jazz/funk pop art and can be viewed as a tribute to the renowned pop art piece "LOVE" (1966) by American artist Robert Indiana.

Its bold design embodies the project's spirit of freedom and creativity. The playful typography captures the unique experience of the tourist information center and café, evoking a sense of adventure and curiosity.
